STRING ORCHESTRA
Commissioned by Meet The Composer-Louisville Residency for the 1996 Jefferson County (KY) All-County Orchestra festival.
As the title implies, “Frolic for Young String Orchestra” is a playful and lively work, approximately three minutes in length, meant to convey a spirited sense of delight and merriment associated with happiness, laughter, and freedom. Each section is given melodic elements throughout the piece.
